Subaru: A Sexy Product Launch

Part of a larger campaign to launch the 2008 Subaru Forester, visitors to SexySubaru.ca were promptly handed the position as official photographer for the 'Subaru Sexy Photo Shoot'. The challenge: to capture the Forester's bold new face from numerous feature-highlighting angles while a giant Sumo wrestler struck sexy poses all about the vehicle.

Besides being highly awarded this digital work was integral for helping smash sales records for both the Forester (115% increase vs. previous year) and the overall Subaru brand, pushing its share of the Japanese SUV market up 5%. Despite spending levels well below Honda and Toyota, the campaign propelled initial consideration up 400% and purchase intention up 83%. Now that’s sexy.
